It is with utmost pleasure and a heart filled with joy that I warmly welcome you to the official website of the School of Postgraduate Studies (SPGS) of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria-Nigeria, one of the first-generation universities in Nigeria and about the largest in Sub-Saharan Africa.

As we may all be aware, research and knowledge production have gone through profound transformation to emerge as the main propellers of development in our globalized world with the transformation process having significant impact on higher education, and notably on the university sector. As a result, countries across all regions are facing increased demands to strengthen their capacities for research and knowledge production in order to continue to make progress and develop their economies on a sustainable basis – hence, the demand for postgraduate education.
